How to transfer credit from airtel to airtel
To transfer airtime from airtel to airtel is not rocket science, if you can follow this guide thoroughly, you’ll see it’s just a piece of cake.
I don’t know if you’ve heard anything like “Transfer Pin” before. A transfer pin is a short pin that grants you access to make airtime transfers.
Just like other telecom operators, you’ll need to have your airtel transfer pin before you can be able to transfer airtime from your airtel sim to another airtel sim.
If this is your first time of making transfer, you already have a transfer pin, you might be wondering how you got that? Before now airtel have already assigned a default transfer pin to all first timers in the airtel me2u service.
The default transfer pin is 1234 and if I can know about this, trust me most of your friends out there know about this too.
Inorder not to risk your airtime and prevent it from getting into wrong hands that might take advantage of your airtime without your notice and consent.
it’s better to change this default pin to a secret pin you can remember in order not to have unauthorized persons tampering with your airtime.
So how can you change this default pin to your own personal pin you can remember, well it’s very simple.
How to change transfer pin on airtel
There are basically two ways of doing this, you change change your default transfer pin via text message or via ussd code.
If you want to use this method then using your phone; Go to message > create new message using this format;
PIN<space>Default Pin<space>New Pin, then send to this number 432
Example: Let’s say the New Pin you want to change to is 9173 (note: your default pin is 1234 and your new pin must not exceed four digits)
Then your message should go this way; PIN 1234 9173 and send to 432. Once you send this, you’ll recieve a notification confirming your change of transfer pin.
If you can’t go through all the above procedure, you can simply dial; *432#.Options you can chose from will be displayed to you;
- Select option 4 (PIN Management)
- Select 1 (Change of PIN)
- Enter Current Pin (Current pin is your Old or default pin)
- Enter New Pin ( the pin you want to change to)
- Press Ok/Send.
That’s it! very straightforward right?
Ok if you followed the above procedure and successfully changed to a new transfer pin, you can now transfer your airtime to another airtel line. It’s very easy and time saving.
