Once you select the amount of megabyte you want to transfer, press send/ok. An option will display prompting you to confirm or cancel the transfer, click on proceed. You’ll receive a message confirming your successful transfer of data to the recipient’s phone number.

If you’re the one that received the transferred data and you want to check your data balance dial *131*4# or you send 2 to 131 via text message.

Note: You can not transfer more than 1gb in a day, once the total mb (data) you transferred is upto 1gb in a day, you won’t be allowed to transfer again until the next day.

Example: if the mtn phone number you want to transfer data to is 08030012345 and the data amount you want to send is 100mb, simply dial; *131*08030012345*100# very easy right?

You can also do this via text message using this format; Transfer[space]Recipient’s Phone Number[space]Data Amount and send to this number 131.

Example: If the Recipient’s Phone Number (that’s the person you want to transfer your megabyte to) is 08030012345 and Data Amount to be transferred is 100mb.

Then your message should go like this; Transfer 08030012345 100 and send to 131.
