Actually there two ways of changing transfer pin on mtn, first is through;
Text message
Go to messages on your phone, go to create message and type in this format;
Default pin[space]New pin[space]New pin and send to this mtn number 777
Example: if the new pin you’re changing to is 8347, remember it must be four digits, don’t go and add extra.
Then type this in your message; 0000 8347 8347 and send to 777
Type exactly like like I’ve done with your new pin and send to 777, shortly after you send this, a notification will be sent to you confirming your change of transfer pin.
Another easy method of resetting mtn transfer pin is through;
Ussd code
This one is actually easier than the first, no long talk just dial *600*Default pin*New pin*New pin# and send/call
Example: if the new pin you’re changing to is 8347, then use your phone and dial *600*0000*8347*8347# and send/call, very easy right?

How to transfer airtime on mtn
To transfer airtime on your mtn line using ussd code, Dial *777#, Select 1 (Transfer Airtime), Enter Recipient’s Number, Enter Airtime Amount You Want To Transfer, Enter Your Mtn Transfer PIN and Press Ok.
You can also transfer airtime on mtn by dialing, *600*Recipient’s Phone Number.*Airtime Amount You Want To Transfer*Your Mtn Transfer pin#.
And lastly, you can transfer airtime on mtn through text message by using this format, go to your text message and type using this format; Transfer[space]Recipient’s phone number[space]Airtime amount[space]Mtn transfer pin and send to 777.
Once you send that message, you will receive a message confirming your successful transfer of airtime to the recipient and the recipient’s airtime account will be credited immediately with your transfer.
Transferring airtime from your mtn sim is totally free of charge and you are only allowed to send a maximum N5000 airtime a day and a minimum of N50 a day.
