- If you have allergies to latex products, ensure that you do not include ingredients like potash, palm oil or coconut oil into your soap. You can use ingredients like castor oil and olive oil instead.
- For allergies to caffeine, cocoa, or chocolate, do not use potash made from cocoa pods.

Procedures
- Start by taking the cocoa beans out of the pods.
- Get your dried plantain skins ready and then, burn them with the cocoa beans from the step above. The burning usually produces ash that is used for the lye.
- Add the ashes to distilled water and mix.
- Set the mixture in a pot and then, set it on high heat. Leave the mixture to boil for about twenty minutes. You should however ensure that you stir often. That way, you get a mixture with a very regular consistency. You should also make sure that the mixture doesn’t boil to the point where bubbles begin to appear.
- When the mixture has a gummy or thick outlook, you can take it off the fire and allow it to cool down before you use it for the next step.
- Next, add the oils and butters to a deep stainless steel pot. Ensure that the fire is on low heat.
- Continue to heat and stir the mixture until it has a smooth and regular consistency.
- Add the potash base to the oil mix. Ensure that you do not use the entire potash base. You can store the one you don’t use in airtight bottles.
- You can add fragrant materials as well as colorants of your choice to the mixture.
- Set the mixture in soap molds with the aid of a rubber spatula. Then, leave it to cool for a day or two. While this is happening, the molds should be covered with foil.
- Cut the soap into your desired shape after they have set into firm solids.
- Set the soap on wire racks to allow for the curing process. You should also ensure that you regularly flip the soap bars to ensure that the process of curing occurs evenly across the bars.

- Vitamin E oil
- Lavender oil

- Almond oil
- Argan oil

Note that you do not have to include the entire ten oils listed above. With a maximum of six oils, you are good to go.
Procedures
- Immerse the glass dropper bottle in boiling water in order to get rid of microbes that can contaminate the final oil. Allow the dropper to dry with the passing breeze.
