Example if the 17 digits pin on the mtn recharge card you want to load is 7254-9845-5637-63853, then to load this recharge card dial *555*72549845563763853#
Once you dial it your mtn airtime account balance will be credited instantly with the recharge card amount.
Recently mtn introduced the 10 digits pin recharge card the code to load this type of recharge card is *3551*PIN#
Example if the 10 digits pin on the mtn recharge card you want to load is 72564-98458, then to load this recharge card dial *3551* 7256498458#. Your airtime account will be credited instantly with the recharge card amount.
To check your mtn airtime account balance dial *556# and your account balance will be displayed instantly to you.

Mtn has a lot of good and affordable data plans ranging from daily, weekly and monthly plans. All mtn data plans are provided to suit your budget, no matter how much you have there’s a data plan for you.
So if you load an mtn recharge card on your mtn sim or you already have airtime and you want to subscribe for a data plan just dial *131#
Once you dial it, a menu based pop up will display on your screen, you’ll be prompted to select an option from the menu below.

Of course in this case you’re to select 1 (Data Plans) which is why we are here, Select 1 and press OK. Once you select that, another option will be displayed for you to select below.

Select the type of mtn data plan you want either daily, weekly or monthly and press OK.

Another menu will be displayed to you where you’ll be asked to choose whether to automatically renew the plan whenever it expires or to not renew when it expires. You’ll see something like this below

If you want the data plan to be renewing automatically whenever it expires then select 1 if you don’t want it to renew by it self whenever it expires then select 2.
Once you do that the data plan will be added to sim instantly and the airtime for that data will be deducted. Further details of the data plan including the validity period will be sent to you.
From them you can now browse, download and stream the internet with your data. To check you balance dial *131*4# or you send “2” as text message to 131.
Your data balance will be displayed and sent to you immediately.
