Glo Yakata vs Glo Berekete, two famous Glo tariff plans that are very popular for their huge data and voice benefits. This article will be showing you which among the two plans offers the most benefits, but before that, let’s see what each tariff plan is about.
Glo BEREKETE
Glo BEREKETE++ is now known as the Glo BEREKETE 10X, a Glo tariff plan that gives you a 10 times bonus on every recharge. Fully loaded with even more bountiful voice and data benefits.
Every recharge on Glo Berekete 10X gives you 400% worth of voice bonus and 500% worth of data bonus, all valid for 7 days. These bonuses including the amount recharged amount to 10 times the value of what was recharged. Voice bonus can be used to make calls to any network.
New Glo customers get a one-off N1,000 welcome bonus after activating the new SIM. Bonus can be used for both data and calls to all networks. N800 to call all networks at 75 kobo/sec, and N200 equivalent to 200MB worth of data. To activate your SIM, you need to recharge at least N100 and make a call with the SIM.
Also on Glo Berekete 10X, there is a Special Extra Data Bonus on the first recharge of N100 and above in a month. This offer is only available for 6 months counting from the date of joining the Glo Network.
Calls are charged at 36k/sec from the main account balance and 77k/sec from the voice bonus.

Glo YAKATA
Glo Yakata Tariff Plan is a prepaid plan which gives 2,200% bonus, both voice, and data, on every recharge. A tariff plan to satisfy both data and talking needs.
Every recharge on Glo Yakata, beginning from N100, gives you voice and data and voice bonuses amounting to 22X the value of what you recharged. All bonuses are valid for 7 days and can be used to call any network.
You also get up to 6GB worth of data bonus every month on data plans. This offer lasts only for 6 months after SIM activation
Calls on Glo Yakata are charged at 70 Kobo/sec from the bonus account. On the main account, on-net calls (Glo-Glo calls) are charged at 55 kobo/sec and all-net calls (calls to other networks) are charged at 70 kobo/sec.
The first call minute of the day is free on Glo Yakata. This applies to not just Glo-Glo calls but calls to all networks

Glo berekete vs Glo yakata which is better?
Once upon a time, the default tariff plan for new Glo customers, Glo Yakata was replaced with Glo Berekete as the default plan on every newly activated SIM card. While both give both voice and data benefits, which among them is better?

On Glo Yakata A recharge of N100 gives you a N350 voice bonus. Considering call rates of 55 Kobo/sec and 70 Kobo/sec for on-net and all-net calls respectively, and 70 Kobo/sec from the bonus account. On Glo Yakata, with N100 airtime, you can get between 5 minutes 57 seconds to 6 minutes 40 seconds of calls.
At the end of the day, Glo Berekete 10X is better than Glo Yakata, because it gives more data and cheaper call rates
