MTN Social Bundles are data bundles that allow you to enjoy access to your favorite social media apps. They are referred to as event based bundles and only power data events such as Facebook, Eskimi, WeChat, 2GO, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok on your device. We will be looking at the various categories of the MTN social bundle and their code.
Social bundle plans are flexible and cheap, beginning from plans as low as N25 daily, to weekly and monthly plans. These plans can be a single social plan or all social plans. That is to say, you can get a N50 daily plan for WhatsApp only, or N50 daily all social plan for access to all social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, Ayoba, WeChat, 2GO, Vskit, and Eskimi.
Note, all social plans are usually more expensive than single plans. Instead of N25 daily, N50 weekly, and N150 monthly, it goes for N50 daily, N100 weekly, and N250 monthly.
There are also special MTN social bundle plans for heavy data social media platforms, specific for streaming on YouTube, Instagram & TikTok as cheap as N100. All customers on the MTN network are eligible to enjoy the Social Bundles. Except for the “WhatsApp & Facebook” bundle, it is only available for BetaTalk customers.
And lastly, there are Social Mega Bundles that give bigger data volumes. For as low as N200, you can get 750MB and 1GB for N300. The Social Mega Bundles are only available to prepaid customers.

You can also subscribe for a social bundle via SMS. To do so, send the keyword for the preferred social bundle to 131. Below is a list of all available social bundles, their validity and the social bundle codes you need to sms to 131.

Note: All social bundles come with grace periods at the end of the bundle validity period. Renewing your bundle within the grace period will roll over the remaining data from the old bundle to the new bundle.

A social bundle subscription will be auto renewed if you have enough airtime. You will be notified of this via SMS before and after. To opt in for auto renewal when your bundle is exhausted, text R + the activation code to 131.
For example, RWAD to opt in for auto renewal of WhatsApp daily social bundle. To opt out of auto renewal when your social bundle is finished, text STOP + the activation code to 131. For example text STOPWAW to 131 to opt out of the WhatsApp weekly social bundle.
